Your
Guide to Selecting
a Grooming Salon
Pet
Grooming...more than just a pretty face...
Regular
grooming for your dog or cat is just as much a part of your pet's
life as a healthy diet, regular exercise, a cozy corner to curl
up in and plenty of love.
Whether
your pet has short, wiry hair or long, curly locks, grooming will
benefit one and all. Regular grooming is not just about esthetics.
There's nail trimming, ear cleaning, anal gland checking, and skin
and coat cleanliness. They all add up to a healthy, happy member
of the family. A dirty pet is at risk for health problems - for
both the the owner and the pet.
A
groomer is your link to information about your pet's needs. When
you find one that you and your pet are comfortable with, stick with
them!
Feel
free to ask questions - groomers are more than happy to talk about
the work they do, and will be happy to work with you and your pet.
|
- Bring your

DON'T...
- Bathe
your pet between grooming unless you are sure all the tangles
are brushed out first
- Use human
shampoo or detergents on your pet
- Expect
your groomer to be able to leave much hair on a pet that comes
in matted
- Forget
to inform your groomer of any sensitive areas that your pet
may have
- Forget
to brush your pet between professional groomings
- Bring your
dog in wet and expect your groomer to be able to start grooming
before your pet has been fully dried.
